Engineering News Record magazine recently announced that the Innovation, Science & Technology Building at Florida Polytechnic University was named ENR Global Project of the Year. The 162,000-sq-foot building was completed in 2014.
Hardesty & Hanover’s Kinetic Systems Group designed the mechanization system for a brise soleil (sun shading system). This dramatic, futuristic building, features hydraulically-activated, individually programmable louvers follow the sun’s movement through the sky over the course of a day.
Congratulations to all involved in this award-winning project.
