James M. Phillips III, PE, joins H&H as Bridge Practice Leader

James M. Phillips, III, PE, joins Hardesty & Hanover as Bridge Practice Leader. Mr. Phillips brings more than 32 years of experience in bridge engineering, including feasibility studies, environmental documents, design, construction management, and construction engineering and inspection. He is a recognized leader in the design of heavy movable structures for bridges, locks, dams, and other civil engineering applications. Phillips will be based in the firm’s Tampa, FL, office. His notable recent projects include the Royal Park Bridge in Palm Beach, FL; the 17th Street Causeway Bridge in Ft. Lauderdale, FL; the Port Ferdinand Bascule Bridge in Barbados, West Indies; and the Bonneville Dam Swing Bridge in Bonneville, OR.

Mr. Phillips has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida and is a Professional Engineer in 13 states. He is an active member of American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA), American Institute of Steel Construction, and Heavy Movable Structures, Inc.
