Charles Gozdziewski is responsible for planning and maintaining the strategic direction for the firm as well as ensuring client satisfaction. His responsibilities have included overseeing transportation planning, construction inspection and support services for highways; all types of movable, fixed and railroad bridges; as well as special structures. Charlie has also performed Quality Control/Quality Assurance on many major projects. He has been involved in the design, inspection, evaluation and rehabilitation of hundreds of bridges in the United States, particularly in the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area.

Andrew Coates is currently responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the firm. Andrew has been the Partner-In-Charge or Project Manager for many of Hardesty & Hanover’s major bridge projects. Throughout his 30 plus year career, he has been responsible for bridge studies, major bridge rehabilitations, emergency services, biennial and in-depth bridge inspections, preliminary to final design on new fixed and movable bridges, and construction inspection. Andrew’s fixed bridge projects range from simple overpasses to viaduct-type structures to $250 million intersection rehabilitations. His expertise on the subject of movable bridges allows him to manage and coordinate the structural-mechanical-electrical designs of various types of swing, vertical-lift, and bascule bridges.
