Hardesty & Hanover was contracted by the VDOT to perform studies, preliminary design, and final design for the widening and rehabilitation of the existing Berkley Rolling Lift Bridge and a new double-leaf twin bascule bridge including accompanying highway and viaduct approaches, interchanges, and ramps. The successfully completed project doubles the traffic capacity of I-264, and provides room for safe crossing for bicyclists and pedestrians.
