Greenpoint Avenue Bridge Location: Brooklyn-Queens, New York Client: New York State Department of Transportation Design and Resident Construction Inspection: Hardesty & Hanover performed in-depth inspection and maintenance of traffic services on the original 1929 structure and then designed the new, 4-lane, 202-ft. long, double-leaf bascule bridge. Our design includes 800-ft. curved girder approach spans and provides a clear navigation channel of 150 feet. In addition to the inspection and design services, H&H also provided construction support services and complete resident engineering and construction inspection services.
